This guide contains all you need to know about ExquisiteRO’s Melanis Dungeon. For those who are familiar with other servers, Melanis Dungeon is a custom dungeon where you can encounter strong monsters and find gears that could assist you in the future. This dungeon is somewhat challenging (think of Somatology Labs 3 or 4), so it is highly recommended to hunt as a group while starting out in this server. Melanis Dungeon is suitable for high-leveled players that are equipped to fight MVP monsters. If you are looking for better gears and challenging mobs, then Melanis Dungeon is the place for you.
To access the Melanis Dungeon, first you must reach Geffen Field 08 (gef_fild08) and proceed to the portal on the northwest.
In the waiting area, you need to purchase the Melanis Entry Ticket from the Tool Dealer for 25 million zeny. This amount can be discounted by the Merchant’s Discount skill.
Once you have bought the Melanis Entry Ticket, click on the Gate to enter the actual dungeon (1 Ticket is good for 60 minutes inside the Melanis Dungeon). You need to use a Melanis Entry Ticket each time you try to enter the Gate, or else you’ll be unable to move for 10 minutes (if stuck, you can warp back to town to avoid danger). Do note that some commands do not work in this area (e.g. @go command).
The map of Melanis Dungeon in ExquisiteRO has different regions, each with a Melanis Mob monster. These monsters are modified versions of the Somatology Lab MVPs, but without the extra mobs. They have the same skills as the original MVPs, but they have stronger stats. Here are the Melanis Mob per region and their stats:

The Melanis Mob also drops an item called Spirit Shards. These shards can be used to summon the main MVP of the map called the Void Devourer.
To summon the MVP, you’ll need to offer 15 Spirit Shards to the Ritual Orb NPC. Once you do, the Void Devourer MVP monster will be summoned (this has 6-hour cooldown):

Melanis Dungeon gears can be worn by most transcendent jobs except Novice (except for the Beast Hunter Ring, which can be equipped by all jobs except Novice). There are two main armor sets that is being dropped in the Melanis Dungeon:
The Beast Hunter set is best used in PVE environments. They provide the best stats for PVE and MVP farming. Completing the set (Armor + Garment + Shoes) would give you “Increase Max HP/SP by 5%, Crit +5, Hit +10; if the refine rate of each piece of the set is +10 or higher - Increase Max HP/SP by an additional 5%, Crit +5, Hit +10, Increase Damage Resistance to Boss Monsters by +10%, Gives immunity against knockback effect.”:

As this map is not considered as a PVP map, players can use their Novice Weapon or Cash Shop equipment to farm in this map. Bring lots of Yggdrasil berries when hunting.
@storage command can be used in this map, but make sure to be in a safe place to avoid being killed by any mob.
Novice Weapon (with 4x Abysmal Knight cards) or Angra Mainyu (with 4x Abysmal Knight cards) are the recommended weapons for non-Mage classes. Bring 2 types of shields as well: one with Golden Thief Bug card, and one with Alice card. The cash shop helmet, Boss Hunter Helm, works wonders as well. There are also boss hunting helmets in the @mall area if going for the F2P route.
When hunting solo, you can kite mobs away so you can finish them 1v1.
When facing Sniper mobs, bring anti-knockback equipment like Brynhildr, +10 Beast Hunter Set (+10 is required when using this set for the anti-knockback effect), or Strong Shield (cheap replacement, but you’ll take more damage).
Use Ghost Elemental Converter or Cursed Water when facing Professor and High Wizard mobs as they are Ghost-element monsters. Bring lots of them because Professor mobs can use Dispel, which annoyingly removes your elemental converter from time to time.
When facing High Wizard mobs, equip a Marc-carded armor for Frozen status immunity.
Use Ghostring-carded armor and Alice-carded shield when facing Champion mob. Asura Strike can easily one-shot you if you’re not prepared. High Max HP is also a must.
Void Devourer is insanely buffed: it now has higher LUK. In its low-health state, its flee stat is increased even further. HIT (and perfect HIT) gears are highly recommended when fighting against this MVP. Randgris card is also recommended as it tends to cast Reflect Shield often (does not work on its Assumptio state though).
