Introduction

This guide contains all you need to know about Gold Room farming in ExquisiteRO - the enemies, the recommended gears, and the tips and tricks inside the room.

The Gold Room is the fastest way of obtaining Gold and Treasure Boxes (which are generally sold for zeny) in ExquisiteRO server. Each enemy mob you kill randomly generates 1 to 5 (or twice the amount in Hard Mode) gold points which can also be traded for additional Gold through the Gold Room NPC.

The Gold Room is also considered as a PVP room, which means, if another player decides to use the Gold Room, they will be free to attack other users of the room. This also means that the items that are banned in PVP rooms are also banned in the Gold Room (e.g. Angra Mainyu, Yggdrasil Berry, etc.). To prevent players from hitting each other, it is highly recommended to party up before entering the Gold Room. As of June 22, 2024, there is now a limit of 20,000 Gold Points per day when farming inside the gold rooms. Be sure to read the guide below to avoid dying and losing precious points.

Enemy Information

Golden Savage

The enemies inside the Easy Gold Room are called Golden Savage. Killing a Golden Savage could give you 1~5 gold points. The stats and skills used by the Golden Savage can be looked up in RateMyServer.net, but there is a slight modification in ExquisiteRO. In ExquisiteRO, the Golden Savage is like a plant, meaning, any attack or skill damage that the Golden Savage received is reduced to 1. Good news is, the damage it can deal can be reflected back to it.

Golden Savage drops the following items:

It is highly recommended to auto-loot Gold (ID: 969), Treasure Box (ID: 7444), and Old Card Albums (ID: 616) when you enter the Gold Room. You can also include Emperium and Yggdrasil Leaf into your auto-loot list, but it would take up inventory space and eat up your weight limit.

Enriched Scaraba

The enemies in the Hard Gold Room are called Enriched Scaraba. Killing an Enriched Scaraba could give you twice the gold points as Golden Savage. The Enriched Scaraba is also like a plant, meaning, any attack or skill damage that the Enriched Scaraba is reduced to 1. Like the Golden Savage, Enriched Scaraba attacks can be reflected to itself. However, unlike the Golden Savage, the Enriched Scaraba hits harder and has more flee. Be careful when creating a mob train with Enriched Scaraba. Too much mob will kill you.

Enriched Scaraba drops the following items:

It is highly recommended to auto-loot Gold Bullion (ID: 7228), Treasure Box (ID: 7444), and Old Card Albums (ID: 616) when you enter the Gold Room. You can also include Emperium and Yggdrasil Leaf into your auto-loot list, but it would take up inventory space and eat up your weight limit.

Enriched Queen Scaraba

In the Hard Gold Room, there also exists an MVP called Enriched Queen Scaraba. Killing the Enriched Queen Scaraba could give you 100~500 gold points. The Enriched Queen Scaraba doesn’t drop any items, but it gives the MVP an Old Card Album as a reward for killing it. The Enriched Queen Scaraba follows the plant-like logic, meaning, any damage dealt to it is reduced to 1. Like the enemies above, her attacks can be reflected back to itself.

Recommended Gears

Classes

For Easy Gold Room, any classes that can provoke, tank, and deal damage (in groups) can be used to farm inside the Easy Gold Room. After testing all classes, I find that the Assassin Cross, Lord Knight, Paladin, and Professor classes are the most recommended ones to use because of specific skills/equipment those classes can use:

  • Assassin Cross have access to dual wielding, allowing you to equip 2 auto-skill weapons at the same time

  • Lord Knights have access to Death Guidance [2] and Violet Fear [2] which allows AoE skills to trigger during each attack

  • Paladins have access to Reflect shield skill, which hastens the combat time when confronting multiple Golden Savage

  • Professors have access to Auto Spell skill and the Death Note [2] book. Auto Spell allows you to cast specific bolt skills while attacking, while Death Note [2] has a screen-wide attack which essentially provokes all Golden Savages on your screen.

  • High Wizards have access to Storm Gust skill which acts like an AoE provoke. This class needs to add STR to carry the loot.

What we need inside the Easy Gold Room:

  • Cards/Gears that triggers a skill when doing basic attack

  • Cards/Gears that reflects damage

  • Cards/Gears that sustains HP

  • Cards/Gears that sustains SP

For Hard Gold Room, tanky classes are more recommended as the mobs hit harder than in Easy Gold Room. I would recommend Paladin class for practicality and natural tankiness. However, classes in Easy Gold Room can still be used, provided they bring potions for HP recovery.

What we need inside the Hard Gold Room:

  • Condensed White Potions (for weight management)

  • 510 or higher HIT rate

  • Cards/Gears that triggers a skill when doing basic attack

  • Cards/Gears that reflects damage

  • Cards/Gears that sustains HP

Tips

  • To maximize the amount of gold points acquired, provoke as many enemies as you can while ensuring survivability (multiple Enriched Scaraba can kill you quick)

  • Make sure that your character has 196 ASPD even if under Quagmire lv.10. Allocate at least 15-25 more AGI than usual (depends on build/equipment set).

  • When 100% aftercast delay reduction is reached, it is better to use Twin Edge of Naght Sieger [3] (Red). This allows the user to spam Meteor Storm lv. 3 as long as the user has reached the 150 total DEX. If going on this equipment build, allocate extra 10-15 DEX more than usual to maintain no-cast state while under Quagmire lv. 10.

  • Best weapon cards to use are: Baphomet (at least 1) and Stormy Knight (if multiples, much better) cards

  • Best armor card to use: Orc Lord card

  • Best shield card to use: High Orc card

  • Best garment card to use: Kasa card

  • Best accessory card to use: Gazeti card (when using Elemental Sword)

  • Verdant Vanguard Armor auto-casts heal, which could save you from dying when you aggro multiple mobs

  • Verdant Vanguard Shoes regenerates HP over time (even in combat)

  • Deep Magma Manteau regenerates SP over time (even in combat)

  • Golden Savages cannot be knocked back

  • Golden Savages can use Full Strip skill, so use Full Chemical Protection on yourself before entering the Gold Room.

  • Performing Cold Bolt while the Elemental Sword is equipped triggers all other bolts from the Elemental Sword. Performing Fire Bolt while the Elemental Sword is equipped triggers only Lightning Bolt and Earth Spike.

  • When farming in the Hard Room, increasing the Hard DEF will make the healing received from Verdant Vanguard armor feasible. +10 Elunium Set pieces could help in increasing hard DEF significantly.
